RAGOM SOS

Many of you in "Speak" world may know about RAGOM - Retrieve a Golden of Minnesota. Their mission is to rescue and find new homes for Golden Retrievers found in need in Minnesota and the surrounding states.

This week-end, 83 retrievers (46 adults and 37 puppies) were rescued from a puppy mill in North Dakota and delivered to the Animal Ark shelter in Hastings. The dogs have since been placed in various foster homes in Minnesota, Iowa, South Dakota and North Dakota. I exchanged e-mails this morning with Louise Dobbe's, the president of RAGOM and RAGOM volunteers are overwhelmed with the response to all of the press related to the largest rescue in RAGOM's history. If you can help, RAGOM's website offers many opportunities including sponsorship, donations and adoption. It may take them some time to get back to you - their mailboxes have been overwhelmed with the response - but they will respond.

To read more about the rescue, the Pioneer Press covered it this morning in Recovering Retrievers by Bao Ong. The picture above was taken by Richard Marshall of the Pioneer Press.

None of the dogs are at Animal Ark. They are all in RAGOM foster homes throughout Minnesota and Iowa, a couple in South Dakota and one mom and puppies are in North Dakota. Can you please correct that? THanks!!! Louise

That picture is just too cute. So, are you going to get another foster dog?
