Crate-ure Comforts

I guess I'll keep my snout shut about the crate. As soon as Lu read yesterday's post, she made me go downstairs to practice "kennel". At first, I let that doofus Cody run in and out, and in and out, and in and out, and so on (did I mention he's OCD?). Then I noticed he was getting treats - lots of treats! I stayed strong, though. I wasn't going to act like some Belle in the Box, waiting for the mindless tune to end until I popped out.

After hours of that dumb game, Lu finally gave up and left the room. I breathed a sigh of relief - I won the Crate War once again. Then, this incredible aroma wafted through my nostrils - the bouquet of salami so tantalizing I just couldn't help myself. Before I knew what was happening, there I was in that stupid crate. Acting just like Cody (don't be surprised if you look up "doofus" in the dictionary and see the above picture of Cody next to the description). Oh, but the salami was really good, and I can always win the Crate War tomorrow.

Sssh, don't tell anyone, but the salami was so good, I even let Cody do "kennel" with me. I know, I know, sharing a kennel is pretty lame, but hey, I got more salami, more often, and Cody really is my very favorite. After salami.

Doofus, huh! If I'm such a doofus, how come I got way more treats than you did?

Mom calls our kennels our condo's. Louie is always checking out mine. I don't know what he thinks he will find in there!!! I always make sure I finish all my treats..

You sound like my kind of guys! What self-respecting dog would ever leave a treat behind.

Enjoy all that water I see on your blog - we goldens love water, but sadly, I don't live on one of the tens of thousands of lakes that Minnesota is always bragging about. Geesh!
