I guess the new HP foster homes aren't the only ones with dog naming on the mind. Yesterday's Pioneer Press had this to say on the naming of K9 dogs recently graduated from the St. Paul canine training facility. Apparently, Daisy just doesn't cut it for a dog that's taught to use force to catch bad guys.
Another interesting item mentioned in the article is that females are not generally used in the K9 program. Apparently, the K9 trainers feel that females tend to check back with their partner too frequently when they're supposed to be chasing the bad guy. They haven't met Belle. I wish I could get her to check back too frequently.
