Warning - Invisible Bullets Ahead!

  • The Monday Night Dogs will be moving to a new night (or day). Upon graduation from Working Wonders, our pups will be moving in to Big Dog. Big Dog is offered on Tuesday night with Eileen from 6:30 - 7:30 and on Thursday morn with Sue from 11:00 - 12:00. I hope this won't create too much of an identity crisis for my blog!

  • Caretaker Home Needed on or about 2/19/07 - Eileen's e-mail request follows: Helping Paws is looking for a caretaker home for Peaches, a Labrador Retriever (yellow in color). Peaches will be three in February and we hope to use her in our breeding program. Current plans are to breed her the next time she comes in season (around July, August). Her caretaker home will need to have the time and interest to care for Peaches and her potential litters. Females in our breeding program may have up to 3 litters. The caretaker home gets to have the fun of raising the puppies until they are placed in foster homes at 7 weeks of age. Helping Paws retains ownership of breeding program dogs until they are retired from the breeding program. At retirement, the dog is spayed and ownership is transferred to the caretaker home. Routine care expenses (veterinary & dog food ) are covered by the caretaker home and generally are deductible as a donation. Helping Paws covers the costs involved in breeding and the whelping & care of the puppies. is If you are interested or know of someone who may be interested, please contact Eileen for more information.

  • The Monday Night class will not be held on 2/12 and 2/19. All Monday Night dogs are asked to attend the Tuesday Night All Dog sessions for those two weeks.

  • A field trip is tentatively scheduled for 2/26 - more from Eileen to follow at a later date.
